A Home For All Is Justice For All
This event is a call to action to prevent homelessness, addressing legal and actual existing discrimination against women’s human rights in housing, land, and inheritance rights, and employment. Resolution on Homelessness
In 2021, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the first Resolution on homelessness, Inclusive social development policies and programmes to address homelessness, including in the aftermath of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID 19).
We believe that this Resolution will bring this global problem to the forefront of Member States’ efforts to alleviate poverty and to build forward protecting human rights and leaving no one behind.
“Homelessness is a global concern and must be addressed at the highest level of the General Assembly.”
— H. E. Mohamed Siad Doualeh, Permanent Representative of Djibouti to the United Nations
